Mondial Assistance has rallied to help victims of the June floods in the Var region of France. With a 24 hour crisis unit in place from 16-21 June Mondial Assistance was able to respond to questions from customers and their insurers, coordinate available means of intervention, to support victims and facilitate the management of their claims.
With the solution called Business Travel Assistance designed by Mondial Assistance and Result Group, companies now have a single point of contact for the complete range of services for their employees’ travel arrangements abroad as well as very effective means to ensure their safety anywhere in the world.
For the third consecutive year, Mondial Assistance has revealed the preferred 2010 summer destinations for Europeans travelling by plane. This analysis was based on hundreds of thousands of Mondial Assistance travel insurance policies subscribed to on the websites of European airline companies for flights scheduled from 1 July to 31 August 2010.
Mondial Assistance has published its financial results for the 2009 financial year. With a total turnover of 1.673 billion Euros, the world leader experienced 4.8% growth, that is 5.4% growth at a constant exchange rate. Net returns for the financial year were 56 million Euros.
Early in the evening of Saturday 27 February, Assistance Coordinators at Mondial Assistance began to receive their first calls from victims of Xynthia, a powerful storm which severely pounded the western part of France, particularly the regions of Charente Maritime and Vendée.
