Mondial Assistance is an assistance company—it is a little understood concept in Australia or New Zealand but the strength of what we do and who we are lies in our ability to connect people in need with complex networks of providers. Our company was born out of a doctor’s passion to bring his son home safely after he was injured overseas and that essence of assistance is still as palpable today as it was in 1983. We love, as a company, to help people.

We currently deliver insurance and emergency medical assistance solutions to the travel insurance industry, property assistance services to elderly Australians on behalf of the Federal Government, specialised patient assistance for pharmaceutical companies, premium roadside assistance services to car manufacturers and health insurance and after-hours assistance to overseas students in Australia.

Our core business is to provide services to end customers through partnerships with some of the world’s most respected brands. In Australia and New Zealand, our partners include major airlines, travel providers, leading financial institutions, premium automotive brands, universities and education institutions and insurers.

Mondial Assistance Australia was founded as a medical assistance company called Worldcare in 1983. In 2001 we joined the global Mondial Assistance Group. Over recent years we have grown dramatically to become the most prominent medical assistance and travel insurance provider in Australia—this growth is underpinned by our enduring commitment to provide an unparalleled standard of emergency medical assistance to our travel insurance policyholders who become ill or are injured overseas.

Mondial Assistance offers significant expertise in medical assistance, medical case management, 24/7 call centre support, product development, underwriting, claims management, global capacity and innovation. Our global group has invested tens of millions of dollars in people and technology in the last few years to develop a world-first ecommerce platform that has allowed us to offer unparalleled ecommerce innovation and value to our travel insurance and assistance partners worldwide.
