A few days after a customer refuelled their vehicle, they realised that they had accidentally used the wrong type of fuel. So they called Mondial Assistance, their vehicle manufacturer’s Roadside Assistance Provider, to see if they could help with the problem.
When the Roadside Assistance Provider arrived at the scene, they decided to remove the console to disengage the transmission. To do this, they needed to access the transmission, which is located underneath the cup holders in the centre console.
However, a sticky substance had been spilt down the console and the Provider was unable to remove the cover to access the transmission.
After an hour of trying to remove the console from the sticky substance, the Provider managed another way to move the vehicle to tow the customer’s vehicle back to the manufacturer dealership, so the fuel could be drained from the tank, and the sticky substance around the console and transmission could be removed.
The customer was extremely happy to have both problems rectified at the same time.
