Travelling with young children can be testing at the best of times. But it soon becomes a nightmare when you experience car trouble, as a mother of young children, recently discovered.
The customer was in outback Western Australia, when she experienced car trouble. As the provider of Roadside Assistance for the manufacturer of her vehicle, the customer contacted Mondial Assistance for help.
We immediately arranged for a mechanic to attend to the problem so that the customer and the children could continue their journey home.
After the mechanic had fixed the initial problem with the car, the customer continued her journey until she experienced a completely unrelated problem with her car. She called Mondial Assistance again, and one of our Customer Service Assistant, endeavoured to diagnose the vehicle’s problem over the phone. At this stage, it seemed like the only option was to have the vehicle towed.
The mother was quite frustrated by this suggestion, as she couldn’t really travel with young children in a tow truck with a long journey back home.
As a last resort, there was one more idea they could try before towing the vehicle. The Customer Service Assistant asked the mother to switch off her vehicle which is designed to clear any electrical faults. The mother agreed to give it a go, and the Customer Service Assistant arranged to call her back shortly.
When the Customer Service Assistant called back, she was advised that the mother had cleared the fault, as the car was now driving smoothly again. The Customer Service Assistant made sure that the mother felt safe to proceed home, and said she would call her to check that there was no trouble with the vehicle.
After arriving home safely, the customer called the Customer Service Assistant to thank her for their efforts.
